Matthew Cunningham

Scalp Sense helps gentlemen dealing with hair loss put an end to their unhappiness and discomfort, with a treatment known as Scalp Micropigmentation (aka the "hair tattoo").

We are fully trained Scalp Micropigmentation professionals who have undergone comprehensive training to provide every client with a bespoke service that promises a natural result and lasts for years to come. We pride ourselves on being able to change the lives of those suffering hair loss with this natural & undetectable treatment.

Here's how it works:

We create the illusions of hair follicles with micro dots of ink...

these ink dots are known as "impressions", which perfectly replicate the appearance of hair follicles and can be used to

  1. Create a brand new hairline
  2. Add density to thinning hair
  3. Conceal bald patches or scarring on the head

These impressions are layered over 3 sessions, creating a natural and undetectable end result.

When done right, nobody will ever be able to tell that the impressions are ink, and not real hair follicles.

Have Questions?

Here's answers to some of our most common questions...

What Is Scalp Micropigmentation?

Scalp Micropigmentation is sometimes also referred to as a scalp tattoo or hair tattoo. Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment that uses detailed micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. The result creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles or short hair stubble. If you are starting to thin, recede, or if you are completely bald, we can give you the look of a short buzz cut, or thicker & fuller hair.

Will Scalp Micropigmentation Grow My Hair Back?

No, the scalp micropigmentation treatment will not grow your hair back. However, the SMP treatment will give you the look of short hair or a tight buzz-cut. We recommend keeping your hair at a shorter length to create the most natural outcome.

How Much Does Scalp Micropigmentation Cost?

Our pricing is based on the level of hair loss, which is different for each client. Typically, the price ranges between $2000-$4000. We recommend setting up a free consultation so our team can evaluate your case and provide a personalized price quote based on your hair loss needs.

How Long Does Scalp Micropigmentation Take?

The Scalp Micropigmentation treatment typically requires 3 sessions to complete, with each sessions lasting 2-4 hours, depending on your degree of hair loss. These treatments are usually spaced about 7-14 days apart.

How Long Will Results Last?

This treatment typically lasts 4-6 years. After that time, a client may experience some slight fading (no colour change), to which they can come back in for a quick touch up. This cosmetic solution will not wash off but can be tweaked as years go on. We always recommend meeting with our team of experienced expert practitioners to discuss your treatment options.

Will The Result Look Natural?

Absolutely! When Scalp Micropigmentation is carried out by a trained professional such as at Joe SMP, the final result will be totally undetectable. You will look as though you have a natural full head of hair.
